Happy Birthday To Me!!

It was my birthday on the 24th...and I turned.. 24...=).. I had a lot of fun on my birthday... I couldn't ask for more...than spending it with friends and family...

a Pink Diamond Ring of course!!.........................NOT... lol..

I really don't have a wish list... I can say that I buy what i want..and when I want it... and yes, i do spend a lot of money on.."STUFF".. but I am a saver at the same time...I am saving for a house with my boyfriend of THREE YEARS (yeah... not 1 month...like khloe kardashian)...we both have been saving and hoping that we would find our house some time next year...

Bare Escentuals Buxom Lips Lipgloss

I am in love with these lipgloss!!!! They are the perfect lip gloss that i have been looking for...

i don't know about you guys..but i always always put on some kind of chapstick on before i put on lipstick or lipgloss so it applies smoothly... basically i want to moisturize my lips before putting anything on... well.. with these lippies.. u dont need them! They will do it for you...=)

They may be a little pricey, each run at $18 per lipgloss...but they are much much bigger than MAC Dazzleglass.. these are .15oz and MAC is .06 oz same price, but you get much more! I got them on a discount since i had the $20 to spend at Sephora....

1. They MOISTURIZE YOUR LIPS.. after putting this on, you will feel tingly on your lips just like any mint chapstick...and it will keep moisturizing your lips until of course when it wears off

2. They give off a very very glossy look...just like a lipgloss

3. There are 2 different kind of lipgloss you can choose from, either the more sheer collection or full color. The sheer collection still gives off very nice colors.. not like MAC lippies

4. They make your lips look fuller! Well, I think my lips are fine.. but they do make your lips look fuller.. so if this is something you need.. then this is definitely the lipgloss you need to buy!!

Bambi- peachy, sparkley, and peachy... this is probably my favorite out of all 3...

Kanani- the sales rep told me it was a very popular color...its very pink...

Amber- a gold sparkley peachy color.. very pretty.. this will give your nude lips a kick..

On a side note, I will be taking a very very important exam on Monday... and will be studying all day..all weekend...AHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

Kim Kardashian's..........Pink Lips

Did you think i was gonna say her booty? LOL... it's funny when i went on Google to find pictures of her, it automatically showed, Kim Kardashian Booty...

I am a fan of her show and a fan of her... She gave all the curvy ladies out there a reason to show off their curves and feel confident about it.. she has a gorgeous face and a gorgeous body.. that is no doubt...

To me, her signature look was always the dark, smoky eyes with nude lips... but this one...really caught my eyes.. I LOVE THIS LOOK.. love love love the pink lips...i went over to MAC the other day and found the lipstick that matches that and put a top coat of dazzleglass.. made it PERFECT...i will list the names of the lipstick and dazzleglass i put together so you guys can see..

other than that, I have stayed away from Sephora these past weeks.. but I do need to use the coupon that I got in the email...$20 off any $35 purchase... WHY NOT? Not sure what I will get.. but there is always something i want from Sephora.....=)

This weekend, one of my good friend is having a photo shoot and she asked me to be her makeup artist... my first response is.. I'm not sure I'll know what the hell im doing!!! It's true! im not a makeup artist, i love makeup, but i don't consider myself to be a makeup artist.. honestly.. i've only tried putting on make up on her...twice...just for fun.. and yea... it did come out very nice on her since shes got great eyes and bone structure and it was easy for me to work on her.. and one time on my boyfriend.. because he wanted to be Jack Sparrow for Halloween this year.. hahahaha.. other than that.. I don't have much experience putting make up on people.. maybe because I'm always afraid that they wont like it.. I guess i will suck it up and see how it will go...here is one of her work... HOT!

New Love...

a brush that is...

So i have been searching for the perfect face brush on the go, I hate carrying my brush roll...when i really just need one brush, my face powder brush when i need it.. for touch ups or blush... so i came across to the Too Faced Kabuki Brush ($30)... I got it when they had the 30% off your entire purchase... so here it is..

My New Toy...

Well.. not really a toy... I've never had a watch before...i don't wear anything on my wrist unless I feel the necessity to wear a bracelet... but recently my boyfriend is going through a watch craze, so we have been looking at a lot of watches.. and yes.. that tempted me to buy one for myself...

Black Friday & Cyber Monday Madness

We all know that Thanksgiving is not only known for good food and the gathering of family and friends...it's what is going to happen after all this make us truly crazy...

Well.. personally, i did not do anything crazy on Black Friday.. didn't stand in line at 3am... But me and one of my girl friend did decide to hit the mall just to see... we ended up finding a parking spot after 30 minutes of driving around the parking lot.. it was CRAZY..

So I'm sure a lot of you already know that Sephora's Friends and Family Sale is on right now.. if you do not, you have until November 2nd to receive 20% off from your whole purchase. So far I've used the Hope in the Jar by Philosophy..it has failed me =(.. it smells like plastic...poop... I dont know.. it just does not smell good at all.. I will try more later on this week and see if i can find my HF moisturizer from this set.. *crosses fingers*

I have to say.. this eyeliner is the BEST pencil eyeliner I've ever used...I have been using MAC's Engraved eyeliner.. and in this set the color Zero is black.. and its a lot more darker and a lot more easier for me to apply eyeliner since its so freakin smooth!!! I highly recommend you guys buying this set to try!

4. Laura Mercier Mini Lip Glace Set $28- I have heard good things about her lipgloss.. so im buying this set to try and see...I do love their Flawless Face Kit too!

5. Sephora OPI- Nail Color Gift Set $18- I thought this was a super deal! 3 for $18! I have been dying to try the one on the far right Metro Chic...so i thought, okay, pay $9 more to get the whole set...why not? I accidental bought one from the store.. and then not remembering that I've already ordered one online.. so now I have 2 sets.. I may return it or of course it would be a great Christmas present for someone...But trust me.. all the colors are GREAT.. Metro Chic was exactly what I expected.. but I do have to adjust to darker nail polish colors...im not really used to it.. of course the A true romantic color on the left would suit me very well bc its a nude color with a touch of pink and the purple is very nice also.. =)

6. Stila Gift of Appreciation Set $38-I honestly do not have much things from Stila, I only have used their eyeshadow from the Barbie Collection, but this is the second thing I wanted to get and try... everything in here is pretty much FULL size... so I'm excited to try!

So I know, I have been MIA for a long time... I can't say I am a blogger at heart.. but I do read a lot of blogs around here....... anyway I just wanted to do a quick update since there are so many great products coming out for this holiday season. I have put a huge purchase with Sephora bc of the Family & Friends event.. so I will post pictures of those products once I receive it in the mail... in the meantime..I will show you some new products that I have gotten....

1. Left - Barbie Loves Stila Doll'd Up Eyeshadow Palette

I highly highly highly recommend this palette, the color choices are great and every color is very pigmented. I've realized once I step my foot in Sephora & MAC and purchased my very first eyeshadow.. I knew I could never ever go back to drugstore brand eye shadows....I think they did a great job putting the eye colors together so you can use all 3 colors together.. So far, i've only tried the blue.. i cant wait to try the rest!

Right- MAC Holiday Collection 2009

Love the packaging, love the colors, I'm still a very neutral color kind of girl.. so i feel like i cant ever have enough browns and neutral colors.. some may feel like you have all these colors already...but i think its a great travel friendly palette.

3. MAC Mineralized Eyeshadow

Left- Midnight Madness- this is new from the MAC Magic, Mirth and Mischief collection, I fell in love with the dark-purple color... it also has a hint of gunmetal, i cant explain it... but i just LOVE this color..but the yellow...not so much... its not as pigmented and it will fall off your eyes..

Right- Odd Bits, this is not from the new collection, i totally forgot which collection its from, but the colors are great! I was loving the pink with the gray...

Honey Lee... she is SO PRETTY... i know that there are many speculations that she is not real.. meaning her face is not real and a lot of plastic surgery have been done... either way... i think whatever she did.. it looks GREAT..

I am not against plastic surgery... to me its real simple, you only live once. It is more of a personal decision type of thing to me, there are people seek other's approval and want to be "perfect"... but define perfect... there is no way you can be perfect (not even Daniel Henny or Hyori)... people will look at you from their perspective and judge you.. you cant please everyone..

I love love LOVE her make up.. from this picture and the picture from Miss Universe... they tend to emphasize a lot on her eyes... of course its very importantant..whether she is real.. no doubt the girl will have a bright future in Korea.. im sure she is the "standard" of what men would want their dream girl to be...

Quick Update

Hey guys, I have been in class 8-5pm everyday for the past 3 days to study for my Series 7... which is basically a license i need to acquire for my job... my company is paying for everything... so why not! So i don't really have any time to update....

BUT.. tomorrow is my last day of class AND my haul from MAC is coming in on Friday... i am so excited... who doesn't like packages coming in? So when I get a chance, I will review everything and with good pictures from a actual camera...

Sigma Brushes Review

Just FYI guys, I am using my iphone for all these pictures....so I know its not top notch quality...i do have a camera that i can use...but since im doing most of the posts from my office...i dont have my camera with me! =)...

I've recently made another purchase from Sigma Makeup...because I think its one of those things that you know its good and you definitely need another set for backup. I first only purchased their face brushes and didn't try their eyebrushes because i do have many many eyeshadow brushes so i decided to skip it... now they have a new kit where they mix some of their popular brushes... both eye and face together... of course.. i had to get it...

it came in a very pretty satin bag like this... with their information packet and also a elf eyeshadow as a gift...

now, lets talk about the quality of these brushes... one word sums it up... amazing... these brushes are very soft... my favorite one is probably the ss150... i already own one...i had to get another... i do also have the MAC 150 brush which is comparable with this brush... honestly to say, this one is actually better quality than the MAC 150 brush... it is $42 for one MAC 150 brush, but you can get the below brushes for $49 plus shipping... it is an AMAZING DEAL.. if you don't have the money to spend $42 on 1 brush.. but you want good quality brushes... i cannot stop recommending Sigma brushes...

1. SS182- This brush can be used to apply mineral foundation or it can be used for everyday use for your foundation on the go.

2. SS239- This is one of my favorite eyeshadow brushes... it is very soft and dense.. so it picks up the right amount of eyeshadow and easy to apply.

3. SS219- this brush is good for application of color crease, outer corner, upper and lower lashline.. and great for smudging your eyeliner.

4. SS187- this is the brush that i probably don't use often... but this is a stippling brush.. it is suppose to give you the "air brush" look.. im still learning!

5. SS150- my favorite brush out of all! you can use this for powder foundation, blush, highlighter to your face or body.. it is GREAT...

6. SS224- the tampered blending brush.. it is great for blending out your eyeshadow to make sure there are no harsh lines...

SO.. what do you think? you are pretty much good to go with this whole set of brushes.. i cannot stop recommending these brushes...check out their site for more details at

So, I went nuts.... nuts over the MAC sale that is going on right now and bought everything that I may need or want to try....here is a preview of what I ordered....

...I've finally persuaded the boyfriend to go shopping with me last weekened.. and we got to go to one of the new outlets Houston have... I did stop by the cosmetic store and got about 3 eyeshadows and a liner.. nothing special.. BUT...while holding my bags for me.. he lost that one bag.. =(... yes.. he was holding my bags.. and lost that one.. LOL.. i didn't get mad.. i just didnt know how he could lose it... lol.. then we went back and got the same once again....=P...while i was at Bebe... i saw these...

hahahahaha... it was about 95 degress outside... my god..those were hot.. but very comfortable!

Haul... eyelashes... clothe...

I love lashes, maybe because I have very short and thin chinese lashes... I've used  different lahses from Ardell to Revlon but my favorite once gotta be Darkness eyelashes.  They are great!  I think it's because they fit my eyes more than Ardell or Revlon and they are very inexpensive!  I got them from Lunabeauty.com, for day time I use the WXOS, they are very natural and nothing dramatic, so it looks like your real lashes.... i've stocked up on a lot of these =)... the other two Kma9 and Kma7 are more for going out at night when you want a little bit of dramatic look... its still very natural....

There was a coupon for Saks 5th ave for 40% off of any item... of course i had to take advantage of it!!! I bought a pair of Rock and Republic jeans... woot woot!  I love jeans.. now i have to get them tailored... i wonder why they always make it so long?

Super Quick Review

Okay,  I know I've just posted something... but I thought I wanted to do a quick review on one of my recent purchase at Sephora.  I don't have my camera right now so I can't take a picture of the actual product, but this is good enough for now.

Laura Mercier Illuminating Powder

I went to Sephora with one of my girl friend to pick out some makeup for her, while the lady at Sephora was putting on makeup for her, another lady decided to try out products on me and one of those was this powder.  I LOVED IT.  I would recommend this powder for any fair skin colored girls, I am Chinese, very light one...it wasn't so bronzy that it made it look unnatural, instead, it brought out my face features, I have a very round face!  I had cheekbones! it is amazing!

- I am 23 years old and graduated from University of Houston last May with a degree in Finance and a degree in Marketing

- I am currently working at a financial firm that I've been at since I was a Junior in college, I love my job.

- My part time passion is Makeup, it's only been a year or less that I've been crazy about makeup, but trust me, it's something I will be doing for a while and maybe something I would want to do professionally as a part time gig.

- Fashion, oh god, I shop too much.  I can't say I got the best taste or style in the world.  But I do enjoy good fashion.

Okay, one thing you have to know about me is that i LOVE Daniel Henny, I was so excited that he got to be in X-Men... I couldnt wait to see it... the man is just perfect in every way... especially his smile... its just so seductive... hahahaha
